The Character Private School Introduces a New SWAT Advisor

The Character Private School SWAT Club is excited to announce the new SWAT Advisor, Mr. Charlie Heidelberg. Mr. Charlie is a Middle/High School Teacher at Character Private School in Cross City. 

The Character SWAT club has already recruited members and held the first SWAT meeting where they discussed community opportunities that the club could promote SWAT membership and tobacco prevention. The club has already volunteered to attend the Region 2 SWAT Meeting in October with Mr. Charlie. 

 

 

Mr. Charlie shares that his vast experiences including an opportunity to work with organizations and programs such as the Human Rights Advocacy Committee (District 3), Interface Youth Program -Corner Drug Store Inc., Alachua County Juvenile Detention Center and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Alachua County, Taylor County and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Little Rock.  He has spent over ten years working for the best interest of abused, neglected and abandoned children.

Mr. Charlie  held an internship with Congresswoman Karen Thurman(Florida), where his main responsibilities were working on Women and Children issues. He has  also worked with the Taylor Country Tobacco Coalition and the Little Rock School Board Tobacco Free Advisory Board which will be great tobacco prevention experiences to share with his diverse SWAT Youth.

We welcome Mr. Charlie to Dixie County and can’t wait to see the Character Private School SWAT Youth shine the Tobacco Free life style in their community.
